Edited by: Tobar Hadiak on 09/06/2007 23:17:59 Hello, after a long time of playing Eve outside the bounds of its rp element, I've decided to get involved with this interesting and engaging perspective. Namely playing eve in rp mode.
So of course I will be looking around for some sort of roleplay corporation that can help me achieve this goal of getting involved and burried up to my eyes in the immersely interesting fiction and roleplay aspects of the game.
I set out (with my new 3 day old character) to do this. I've deleted my old toon of over one year and have literally started afresh, resolute in my mind that this is how I want to play. This is how I want to experience this game.
So without even looking into the many corporations I can try my luck at, or even delve deep into the storylines of their perspective... one storyline stands out to me the most. That is the Minmatar Vs. Amarr conflict. It holds such a vast arena to involve yourself and create much of its content. Such as alot of the news items about the recent Matari/Khanid discussions. Its big and brash, but I need to start off small.
So I decided to first of write myself an rp bio. And this is what I got (please tell me what you think - its quite open):
>>>>> Tobar Hadiak grew up in a time of turmoil and spent most of his days distant from it working on his father's farm. However, he decided it was time for him to get out into the real world.
After a fight with his father, who insisted he needed to stay, Tobar Hadiak left his home to join up with a local faction called The Black Hand. At around that time, they where forming a kind of elite force, created to teach the art of the shadows to the brightest among them.
Tobar found his way there and was seen by the senior master, who was impressed by Tobar's shadow skills. He took Tobar with him and trained him further to become a member of the feared and ruthless Incubi, an underground military arm of the Court Chamberlain, the right hand of the very emperor himself.
He was used by them as one of the emperor's shadow assassins, administering the heavenly justice of the emperor upon his ruthless enemies. It had changed Tobar from the man he first was and it is often hard to believe that he became such a cold-blooded murderer at only twenty-five years of age.
Good thing that events occured when they did or he may have gone completely insane. As an Incubi, his skill and prowess with the shadow arts was unmatched and his reputation was unparalleled. He would extinquish every scent of life, regardless of their innocence or guilt. They had been judged, and it was his mission to wipe them out. He was their finest assassin at the time but he was beginning to lose his humanity.
A tragic twist of fate and unexpected turn of events changed all that, however, and Tobar emerged from the battle-thirsty Incubi, pledging to never kill an innocent person again. Tobar's only trusted friend took his place as a shadow assassin, while he moved from the those shadows into the open as a kind of bodyguard to key figures in the office of the Court Chamberlain. After the death of his assigned charge, he disappeared. No person has ever seen him since.
Some say that he himself was killed, perhaps in the riots, perhaps even assasinated by a fellow shadow operative. None can truely know for certain what path Tobar Hadiak has walked, only that he that he will never kill an innocent again. >>>>>
I hope you have some thoughts you can give me about it and anything else you would like to add about how interesting or practical it is to game in Eve in this rp mode...
Thanks.
